Too many Britons are trapped in houses comprised of a series of small boxes.
There should be a smooth transition, functionally and visually, between creativity, relaxation, work and entertaining. But the balance between these changes with time, so the 'boxes' home is subjected to extensions, knockings-through, boardings-up ...
The house shown has as its core a large circular room which is divided by partitions which rotate about its centre. One section is of double height and can function as studio, workroom, garage etc.: and it is a matter of creative choice whether or not this zone is connected with the other functions. The three lobes of the encompassing triangle carry the functions; entrance/stairs, kitchen and study.
